all over but the counting...

...well, there doesn't seem to be much doubt on the Republican side who is headed to the top, which I think is a sign that people are coming to grips with the fact that he may be the best Republican to be the nominee. And now I need to admit it...I watched a lot of the candidates on tv, and listened to their "attitudes" (positive or negative!), and just watched how they look as far as their body language and the impression I get from each (and that's always been fascinating to me anyway!). Mitt Romney, all of a sudden, is giving off an impression to me as very stiff, trying to look almost perfect, you know, like a guy who knows he looks good, and, dammit, you better recognize it too. Arrogant, but somewhat uncomfortable at the same time. Personally, I've had my fill of people like that lately, so it's about the biggest turnoff in the world.
McCain gives off a very aggressive posture, which I can't blame him for, he's earned it. But there's just something about when you look at him behind a podium, well, it just kinda gives me the creeps all of a sudden. Not that I don't like him, he just seems like his posture is like a 'hulking' presence, with the way his shoulders are. That's probably something to do with all the bones that were broken when he was a POW, so that's just my take on how it looks...
To me, the whole thing drew my attention back to my reason for voting...to give my opinion, not to be a sheep. So, I made up my mind last night, I'm voting for Huckabee. Nope...he's not the likely nominee unless some bigtime shit comes out before Ohio's turn, but...I've never found anything about him that bothers me...and that's why I want to vote for him. I had been thinking "Well, but that's a waste of a vote, isn't it?" Then I thouht last night, well, no, it isn't at all. A waste of a vote is when you stay home and get pissy because there's no perfect candidate that believes exactly like you do. At least get out there and use your voice, even if it may get drowned out by everybody else's...but...don't be a passive lemming, for God's sake!
I heart Huckabee, proudly!

Super weekend before Super Tuesday

Well, Mitt Romney won the Maine caucuses! I still think he has no hope left to win the big number one position in the world...nor do I think he'd EVER have a chance in hell to be John McCain's vice president, either! The two guys truly don't like each other's views on much, you can tell that just by watching them side-by-side.
In my mind, the perfect Republcan party would be McCain;president, Huckabee;vice president, Romney;Secretary of Treasury. Because that would cover the far-right conservatives by putting Huckabee right up there. It just may be the way to calm down some of the rabid conservatives who refuse to vote for McCain! People are reeally starting to look, well, STUPID about that!
If you're a Republican and you're a stubborn, whiny little baby and stay home and don't vote to get your point across...you may as well say that was a vote for Hillary or Obama. Will you brag about that in the future?
Please, seriously, think about it! Even if McCain isn't your first choice, don't you have more in common with his beliefs than with Hillary's? One person doesn't have the choice of who the nominee is! Maybe this is all going back to how a lot of people in this country are...I want what I WANT!! NOW!! Holy crap, people! Grow up!!
Paranoia...
