all over but the counting...

...well, there doesn't seem to be much doubt on the Republican side who is headed to the top, which I think is a sign that people are coming to grips with the fact that he may be the best Republican to be the nominee. And now I need to admit it...I watched a lot of the candidates on tv, and listened to their "attitudes" (positive or negative!), and just watched how they look as far as their body language and the impression I get from each (and that's always been fascinating to me anyway!). Mitt Romney, all of a sudden, is giving off an impression to me as very stiff, trying to look almost perfect, you know, like a guy who knows he looks good, and, dammit, you better recognize it too. Arrogant, but somewhat uncomfortable at the same time. Personally, I've had my fill of people like that lately, so it's about the biggest turnoff in the world.
McCain gives off a very aggressive posture, which I can't blame him for, he's earned it. But there's just something about when you look at him behind a podium, well, it just kinda gives me the creeps all of a sudden. Not that I don't like him, he just seems like his posture is like a 'hulking' presence, with the way his shoulders are. That's probably something to do with all the bones that were broken when he was a POW, so that's just my take on how it looks...
To me, the whole thing drew my attention back to my reason for voting...to give my opinion, not to be a sheep. So, I made up my mind last night, I'm voting for Huckabee. Nope...he's not the likely nominee unless some bigtime shit comes out before Ohio's turn, but...I've never found anything about him that bothers me...and that's why I want to vote for him. I had been thinking "Well, but that's a waste of a vote, isn't it?" Then I thouht last night, well, no, it isn't at all. A waste of a vote is when you stay home and get pissy because there's no perfect candidate that believes exactly like you do. At least get out there and use your voice, even if it may get drowned out by everybody else's...but...don't be a passive lemming, for God's sake!
I heart Huckabee, proudly!

He's good, Libby ~ It might end up being McCain-Huckabee. I'll be blogging on that when I get back from my weekend getaway!

I do not understand American politics- they never seem to be about the lives of ordinary Americans. Your politicians seem to be chosen in a beauty pageant atmosphere and discussion of difference is conducted by a competition of negative labelling rather than examining of issues. UK politics is getting more this way too. Surely what we need is to talk about the issues not the individuals.
They say a bald man can never be UK prime minister- Winston Churchill could never have got elected- mind you Hitler would have never got that 'tash of his past the television people!
