all over but the counting...

...well, there doesn't seem to be much doubt on the Republican side who is headed to the top, which I think is a sign that people are coming to grips with the fact that he may be the best Republican to be the nominee. And now I need to admit it...I watched a lot of the candidates on tv, and listened to their "attitudes" (positive or negative!), and just watched how they look as far as their body language and the impression I get from each (and that's always been fascinating to me anyway!). Mitt Romney, all of a sudden, is giving off an impression to me as very stiff, trying to look almost perfect, you know, like a guy who knows he looks good, and, dammit, you better recognize it too. Arrogant, but somewhat uncomfortable at the same time. Personally, I've had my fill of people like that lately, so it's about the biggest turnoff in the world.
McCain gives off a very aggressive posture, which I can't blame him for, he's earned it. But there's just something about when you look at him behind a podium, well, it just kinda gives me the creeps all of a sudden. Not that I don't like him, he just seems like his posture is like a 'hulking' presence, with the way his shoulders are. That's probably something to do with all the bones that were broken when he was a POW, so that's just my take on how it looks...
To me, the whole thing drew my attention back to my reason for voting...to give my opinion, not to be a sheep. So, I made up my mind last night, I'm voting for Huckabee. Nope...he's not the likely nominee unless some bigtime shit comes out before Ohio's turn, but...I've never found anything about him that bothers me...and that's why I want to vote for him. I had been thinking "Well, but that's a waste of a vote, isn't it?" Then I thouht last night, well, no, it isn't at all. A waste of a vote is when you stay home and get pissy because there's no perfect candidate that believes exactly like you do. At least get out there and use your voice, even if it may get drowned out by everybody else's...but...don't be a passive lemming, for God's sake!
I heart Huckabee, proudly!

Super weekend before Super Tuesday

Well, Mitt Romney won the Maine caucuses! I still think he has no hope left to win the big number one position in the world...nor do I think he'd EVER have a chance in hell to be John McCain's vice president, either! The two guys truly don't like each other's views on much, you can tell that just by watching them side-by-side.
In my mind, the perfect Republcan party would be McCain;president, Huckabee;vice president, Romney;Secretary of Treasury. Because that would cover the far-right conservatives by putting Huckabee right up there. It just may be the way to calm down some of the rabid conservatives who refuse to vote for McCain! People are reeally starting to look, well, STUPID about that!
If you're a Republican and you're a stubborn, whiny little baby and stay home and don't vote to get your point across...you may as well say that was a vote for Hillary or Obama. Will you brag about that in the future?
Please, seriously, think about it! Even if McCain isn't your first choice, don't you have more in common with his beliefs than with Hillary's? One person doesn't have the choice of who the nominee is! Maybe this is all going back to how a lot of people in this country are...I want what I WANT!! NOW!! Holy crap, people! Grow up!!

...election hangover...

Pretty much, Obama is THE headline today!
Which is good, I don't have any problem with him...heck, if I was wanting very much for all of America to pay higher taxes, I might even vote for 'im, ya know? Or if I wanted us to set a 'timetable' for troop withdrawal from Iraq. Or if...well...okay, if he was a Republican!!
I've been hearing a lot of people on the news talking about 'the race issue' between Obama and Hillary. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but Obama has never, ever even come close to MENTIONING the fact that he's black!! But Bill Clinton had to just brush off the fact that Obama won the South Carolina primary by saying, 'well, Jesse Jackson won it in 19xx...' Oh my God! That's almost as fucking condescending and patronizing as claiming..."I'm America's first black president" back in 1998. Holy shit! Grrrrrrrr!!! That right there would be more than enough to scare me away from voting for his wife!!
Well, I'm totally officially afraid of Hillary now. I was awake last night watching the History Channel before I fell asleep, and they had a show on about approaching Armageddon, and it was interesting! But, I fell asleep before it was over, and one of the last things I remember hearing is how the antichrist is going to make everybody think he's great for them and the world...and all I woke up thinking, damn, that sounds a whole helluva lot like Hillary, doesn't it?? Sorry, I just HAD to put that out there. At least I waited until it wasn't Sunday anymore!

SC Primary Day!

This election season seems like it's going fast now. To me, anyway!
Did everybody see the Democrats' debate, where Hillary went back at Obama when he was on her about sitting on the board of WalMart , while he was working in the streets of Chicago with the people...her eyes turned into squinty little fireballs, and she accused him of working hand-in-hand with a big slumlord. Then, yesterday morning, on Fox news, they had a picture of that "slumlord" standing in between the President & Hillary, and they all had their arms around each other, in the White House. Hahaha! When she had been asked about it, she gave the patented "Clinton answer"..."I really don't remember, we took so many pictures with so many people..." I'd lay money on it that if it gets dug into by a blogger or journalist, he's almost as big of a contributor as Hsu!
I don't know why I hate Hillary so much...well, yeah I do...she's just sneaky! Sneaky people, well, there have been a few in my life, and after the last one that suckered me for years, I will NEVER trust or believe one of them again! Once you start lying that much, well, it's that famous 'slippery slope'. You get away with it the first one or two times, you start feeling invincible.
And it's not just her personality I hate, it's the way she thinks that every single person in the United States needs to be taken care of because we're all too stupid to run our own lives...meaning, she's the absolute "dictator" of the country. Does anybody here need that? Or want that? And if they did (God forbid!), would she be the dictator you'd WANT?
Also, Bill Clinton isn't doing her any favors by getting out there 'for her' he says...Every time he gets a microphone in his hand, he's "tooting his own horn", saying how good things were when HE was the President!

dem debate...quite a riot...

Okay, who watched the Democrat debate in Myrtle Beach last night at 8 on CNN?? Hahh! I did, I did, I did!!
It was only Barack, Hillary, & John Edwards.. .and for the most part, at the beginning, it was Hillary & Barack sniping at each other. Then Barack said something about Bill Clinton not telling the truth about, well, it was that whole "fairytale" remark that Bill Clinton said...after that, the gloves were off!! GO BARACK!! Not that I'm voting for him, but, holy crap! Gotta love it when anyone dares to go back at the shrill, prunefaced bitch! She was looking like she bit into a lemon when she was listening (or acting like she was) to Barack. Meanwhile, John Edwards is over on the right side of the tv screen, Barack's in the middle, Hillary to the left of the screen. Bad posing for them...would've been more entertaining if Edwards was in the middle!
In my opinion, Hillary would be much better off if Bill stayed out of making speeches, well. just even talking about Hillary's run for the presidency! It almost seems like every time he opens his mouth, something totally offensive falls out. (dont touch that remark!). I think she'd be better off with him, just sitting in the audience, politely clapping. I'm thinking that a lot of the people that go see her are only there to get a look at the former president!

South Carolina primary!

Geez, I'm turning into my dad, I think! (his life after he retired!). Which isn't a bad thing at all...just, I think he would've done the exact same thing I did all day today...I stayed in bed all day, watching Fox news, where McCain & Huckabee are too close to call right now. 72% in right now.

And, yeah, of course Hillary won the Nevada caucuses today. I heard someone say today that they think Oprah's going to get a backlash, from some of the women that think 'Oprah turned her back on us!' I have to agree with that, since Barack hasn't kicked ass yet! Also, I have to wonder where Oprah's been since she announced she was backing Obama. Remember the big ol' 'Oprah & Obama Show', when she announced it?? Do you think, like I do, that maybe Obama would've done any better if she'dve shown up in even one of the states he was running for the primaries in?

Okay!! 9:18, they just now announced John McCain winner in SC!! And about 5 minutes ago, they said that Duncan Hunter dropped out.

I got an order confirmation today in email from ebay! I got the book I wanted! Okay...I have no idea why a picture won't load down here, but, well, I think you can see the book! I paid through Paypal about an hour ago...I'm sure it'll be here soon. well, not like an hour or two, but this week!
Ya know, I think I'm just gonna go crawl back on bed, and start reading the box of 7 Mary Higgins Clark mysteries I ordered on ebay last week. They're all hardcovers, some have library stamps 'discard' in 'em...so what? They still read the same.
Okay... GO MCCAIN!!

Friday before South Carolina!!

I'm kind of thinking that tomorrow's primaries are going to be pretty close with each other. The #1 & #2 positions are going to be fought out between McCain & Romney...well, forget that...Romney's already left for Nevada! Honestly, I think that's going to lose him a lot in this state! Okay...McCain & Huckabee. Fred Thompson seems like he's gaining a little bit of ground...but not enough, unfortunately for him. Truthfully, I see him dropping out after this weekend.
When it comes to Giuliani..I think he's made an enormous mistake by skipping every other state and going to Florida! Yup, Florida's important, but...holy crap! They aren't EVERYTHING in the country! That's almost like the people in NYC & California thinking that the rest of the country doesn't matter...we're just 'flyover country'! And, Florida residents don't represent me! I truly doubt that we'd vote at all the same (the ones I know, anyway!)
It's truly going to be interesting to see who does well tomorrow.

Today in the news there's a story about bin Laden's son (one of his 19!), Omar bin Laden, saying he wants to renounce his dad's philosophies and try to get the world working together for peace! ahahahahahahaha! Yeah...that'll happen...

Monday...new week!

There really doesn't seem to be anything new today as far as politics...but it's still early in the day, ya know?
Now I'm listening to a news conference about the Marine at Camp LeJeune, who was accused in April of this year of rape. Now the woman that accused him is dead, and they found her body, with her unborn fetus, burned to death in HIS backyard & buried under a shallow layer of dirt. In my opinion, yes, his wife was involved in his covering-up of this crime. And the U.S. Military did not do SHIT to solve this!! Or to keep him away from her!! This woman was reported missing over a month ago, and I heard a lady who is also a Marine, saying that, under normal circumstances, if one person doesn't show up for 'work' one day, they're all over looking for that person!

Test, test, test...can you hear me now?

Okay, here's the first post on this blog...
giddy-up...
I've decided to back John McCain in the primaries. I did like Huckabee a lot (still do...who wouldn't? he's just a likable guy!), and I do like Mitt Romney, but the same thing holds me back about both of them , and that's their lack of military experience. Yes, they will work on money problems here..but..I can have all the money I want, but if the terrorists bring their jihad here, what good is that gonna do me?? And I have a feeling that General Petraus isn't done, especially if John McCain gets in the presidency. Honestly, there are no two men in the world other than them that I'd trust my life & my future generations' lives on!
I just heard on Fox News that one of the men in charge of the American ship in the Strait of Hormuth. He said that from now on, he's taking Iran deadly serious, and he hopes we do too! I do, I always thought the report about them not doing anything nuclear since '03...was a big fat lie!! I have a hard time believing any Arabs at the moment. I've met some in my work, and they are, for the most part, shifty-eyed liars! (so is Hillary, but that's for another post). I said 'for the most part'....that's not ALL!

Paranoia may destroy ya...
